Sign up today for the Adult Wooden Racquet Classic. The Tournament will take place on Saturday, December 20th, starting at 9 AM. Draws will be released on Thursday, December 18th. This doubles tournament will strictly be played with wooden tennis racquets. The purpose is to even the odds and go back to the roots of the game. (haha roots & wood) Whether you finally find the sweet spot, get a good laugh off a good shank, or enjoy a drink with a new friend, our hope and goal is to foster a supportive and competitive tennis community! Find a partner and compete for the championship! ps Don't forget to wear your best Wimbledon whites to go along with the Classic Theme! Format: 2 out of 3 Sets (Match Tiebreak for the 3rd) Regular Scoring Consolation Style Bracket If you do not have a Wood Racquet, no problem, we will have an assortment for you to choose from. This tournament is not separated into men's/women's divisions, so please take that into account when choosing between the Open/Recreational Divisions. Any teams with a combined NTRP of 8.5 will automatically be placed in the Open Division. Sandbaggers will start their 2nd round match with a 1-4 game penalty each set decided by the Tournament Director. hahaha you know who I'm talking to Snacks, Beverages, and Lunch will be provided. If you would like to be responsible for your own lunch, the tournament fee will be reduced to $40 Per Participant In the event of inclement weather, the tournament will have a secondary option of Sunday, December 22nd, or a tertiary option of Saturday, January 3rd. Concurrent with the tournament in the morning, we will also be hosting a kids' Red Ball Tennis Camp under our pavilion.
