EL LAGO JUNIOR GROUP TENNIS PROGRAM
Our next El Lago Center weekly tennis class program will begin
September 14, 2026.
Thank you for your interest in the El Lago Junior Tennis Program. Our junior tennis programs go year around with Tennis camps available during Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break and Summer school holidays.
There are a variety of group levels and start dates so please review the
following schedule to find the appropriate class and time for your child. If you are unsure which class your child fits in please contact us and together we will figure it out. Coach Chris & AnElizabeth and their staff are in charge of all classes.
Our Classes run on a 4 week monthly schedule.
10 and Under Junior Tennis (ages 5 - 10 years)

The 10 and Under class is designed for new beginners and advanced beginners. Our goal is to help each student begin to learn the fundamentals of ground strokes, court positioning and light competition.

Next Step Junior Tennis (ages 9 - 14 years)

The Team Tennis class is designed for Intermediate level players. In this class there is an emphasis placed on proper footwork and technique. Students will learn the basics of rallying and point play playing a variety of games.

Tournament Tough (Grades 7th - 12th)

Class Focus:
In addition to continued work on
groundstrokes, volleys, and serves, more advanced techniques
including topspin, slice and proper grips are worked on in each
class. Developing efficient strokes and learning to play
percentage tennis is ingrained in every part of our workouts.
High School Drill players are encouraged to play in local
USTA and UTR tournaments along with UIL Team Tennis for their schools. This is a great program for the competitive tennis player that wants more private training outside of school tennis.
