El Lago Tennis Camps
South Houston Tennis Academy offers Beginner thru Intermediate level tennis camps for children ages 5-15 at the El Lago Center. Each camp will include instruction, practice, and match play. Camps will be age and ability leveled to maximize your child's development making these camps a great way to begin to learn the game or continue to develop all court skills. Tennis camps are offered during all school holidays including Summer, Thanksgiving,
Christmas and Spring Break.

2024 Summer Tennis Camps
The South Houston Tennis Academy will be offering beginner thru
advanced intermediate level tennis camps for children ages 5-15
years old this Fall. All tennis clinics take place at the El Lago Center in the heart of the city of El Lago, 411 Tallowood Dr. The El Lago Center offers 3 championship tennis courts located in beautiful McNair Park.

This year’s El Lago Center Summer tennis camp offers 2
options:
​
Option 1 – Traditional Morning Tennis Camp
​
Each traditional tennis camp will include 12 hours of instruction,
practice and competition. Each camp will be age and ability leveled
to maximize your child's tennis development. These camps are a
great way to begin to learn the game or continue to develop all
court skills and are designed for beginners thru advanced
intermediate level of tennis ability.
​
CAMP BONUS: After lunch each day our morning tennis
campers can take a short “cool down” swim in our Olympic pool
and water park (monitored by life guards!).
​
Option 2 – Full Day Camp
​
Each full day camp includes all the morning tennis drills, instruction,
competition and fun games but is extended through 2pm. At the
conclusion of our morning tennis camp schedule campers join our
fun filled XLR8 Sports Camp for our afternoon activities including
field sports, water balloon fights, capture the flag, and “free swim”
(with Life Guards monitoring!). For hot days we also offer indoor
video games, arts and crafts and movies to cool down. Each camp
day ends with an open swim in our Olympic pool.

The El Lago Center offers 3 championship tennis courts along with
an Olympic swimming pool with a “water park”, covered basketball
and recreational facilities, multifunction field for baseball, soccer,
“punt, pass kick competition, and fun track and field activities. It
also offers air conditioned facilities for “cool down time” with fun
activities like movies, video games and arts and crafts.

Both “traditional morning” and “full day” camps conclude with prizes
and awards. Campers earn reward tickets throughout the camp
which allows them to go to the “camp store” on the last day. This is
always a favorite activity for the kids.

Morning Camp: 9am - NOON
Full day Camp: 9am - 2pm
Cost:
Morning Tennis Camp - $139/week, includes light lunch. If you are
a current or former program participant the cost is $129/week.
Multiple camp and child discounts are available.
Full Day Camp - $199/week, includes light lunch. If you are a
current or former program participant the cost is $149/week.
